About the Congress<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The educational issues facing youth from Africa and\/or Afro-descendants are large-scale and are directly linked to integration and immigration within welcoming societies, such as Canada, where multiculturalism is considered a fundamental characteristic.<\/p>


The movement and mobility of students across Africa and beyond is generating significant socio-economic and demographic change. The question of identity and integration has become an important political and economic issue for welcoming communities.<\/p>


This International Congress on Education in Movement, organized by the Campus Saint-Jean<\/b> of the University of Alberta<\/b>, aims to bring together the research community, students, agencies and institutions, and public policy makers to discuss questions of immigration, multiculturalism, identities, integration and socio-integration, and the professional status of immigrants in their host societies, in particular French-speaking and English-speaking Canadian society.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
